Fishing in Marathon has been excellent and our local experts have been producing awesome family fishing trips. When fishing inshore, you can also catch a variety of different species. It is always an unknown when going out and fishing. When you least expect to catch a big fish is when you normally will. Most of the time, the action is just extremely fun and exciting for all age groups. On this fishing charter, there was non-stop action for 4 hours.

Captain Steve knows where the inshore species are roaming the depths. This family was not fishing to target any species in particular. They really wanted to just get out there and catch fish. Family bonding time is best when reeling in catches and smelling salt air. Get out on a fishing charter in your destination and see what it can offer for you.

Dan, Rose and Tyler had an awesome day on the water. They most certainly accomplished their goal of catching fish. One of the species that is extremely fun to catch in the Lady Fish. It is highly acrobatic like a Tarpon. The family caught lots of sheepshead as well. When they hooked into the hard-fighting Jack Crevalle, it really brought a lot of smiles to the boat. These fish run hard and put up a great fight for those that have never have caught them before. Blue Fish also made it to the boat during their fishing charter.

Dan, Rose and Tyler had a great time on Captain Steve’s boat. They had a lot of fun and will be back for more action in the future. While traveling here often, they are always looking for new and better ways to spend time with each other. Fishing is always unique way to either experience a new place or just hook into something while cruise the waters.

Marathon Redfish Fishing for Bull Reds

July has been ultra productive in catching big redfish. Brittany and her husband were on their honeymoon in Marathon Beach and wanted to explore and catch some redfish here in Florida. One of the many rewards for our captains is spending moments like this with their clients and providing memories worth a lifetime.

As routine, Captain Brad called Brittany the night before their fishing trip to confirm all the details the morning was going to bring. Brittany expressed that she wanted one thing and one thing only, a GIANT BULL RED FISH.

Marathon redfish fishing did not let them down. It was not long into their trip that they got the bite they wanted. After a short but long 10 minute battle, Brittany’s redfish showed itself. When that fish revealed itself on the surface laughter and screams let out. It is only natural that this would happen as this fish was a true Bull and Trophy.

Furthermore, the hard fight redfish put up will send adrenaline through your veins. It is one of the most exhilarating feelings you will ever get. If you love to fish, this is the best fish to come catch. Brittany tired out her trophy catch and brought it to the boat. After an amazing fight, Captain Brad netted this beauty, got a quick measurement and the most tantalizing photo you can get.

The Catch

Brittany’s Bull and Trophy Redfish measured in at 44” long. You truly can’t beat the action here in Northeast Florida. After capturing the moment, Brittany got to release this magical beast back into the waters of Marathon.

Most noteworthy, Catch and Release is our preferred method when fishing for big game fish. We strive to preserve our ecosystems but also provide someone else the opportunity to catch that trophy again.

Captain Brad was thoroughly excited for this amazing new married couple for landing this fish. It is memories like this that will not only last a lifetime for the Captain but also this couple. They get to start a new incredible relationship and chapter of their life landing her dream fish. Captain Brad is looking forward to the opportunity to tempt to break this catch next time they are visiting Florida.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity and adventure here in Northeast Florida. Just like Marathon redfish fishing didn’t let this couple down, it won’t for you either. All you have to do is step aboard our fishing vessel and let the expert Captain take you on that adventure you have dreamed about. Above all, we look forward to the opportunity to put a bull redfish in your hands soon.

Naples is one of the best destinations to catch a variety of different snapper that are absolutely delicious to eat. Many destinations across the state have areas you can offshore fish within 1-5 miles. When you are on a Marathon deep sea fishing charter, you have to travel sometimes up to 26 miles to get to the best fishing grounds.

Captain Mark adventured out on a perfect day for some fishing. Conditions were nice with 5-10 mph winds that kept the day cool and exciting. Eric, Doug, Katie and Dan were even more excited to get to travel offshore on our fishing charter. They were in store for an awesome day!

When Captain Mark arrived at the fishing grounds, the group immediately started catching them. Bottom Fishing is the tactic and method of choice when fishing in Marathon. They were catching Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snappers, and short Groupers. Eric, Doug, Katie and Dan kept roughly half of the fish along with one keeper grouper.

Captain Mark had one heavy rod out for a larger grouper and the line went off while waiting. It was something big but we could not make out what it was. After a 30 minute battle, the fish surface and it was a 7 foot hammerhead shark. You never know what you will catch when adventuring out fishing here in Marathon on a Marathon Snapper Fishing Charter.

After bottom fishing, the group wanted to try some trolling. When trolling here offshore in Marathon, you are in search for Mahi Mahi and big fish like King Mackerel or Kingfish. They were not able to connect with a Kingfish but found caught a Spanish mackerel.

Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with Eric, Doug, Katie and Dan again in the future. One of the many luxuries of traveling to Florida is the ability to expose you to the great outdoors. Marathon is a hot spot for travelers and vacationers due to its pristine beaches and beautiful weather almost all year long. If you are looking to soak up the sun on the water, take a fishing charter with our local experts and enjoy some fun in the sun. Saltwater fishing is a great chance to introduce families or friends to fishing here in Florida.

Captain Steve Niemoeller is a local expert on fishing in North Florida from fresh to saltwater. Boris, Cy and Alex came out to experience what Marathon had to offer them. This was their first time going out fishing and catching a fish. Captain Steve was the perfect guide to make their trip a success.

Cy wanted to get out on the water for his birthday. He was turning 17 and it was time that he landed his first fish. Captain Steve gave them instructions and taught them how to catch fish using spinning equipment. Penn Fishing has some of the best rods on the market when it comes to strength and smoothness.

Marathon provides excellent inshore fishing for an abundance of species. Cy caught his first fish on a steel shad lure. It was a lady fish which are fun to catch as they are highly acrobatic and love to jump. Live shrimp was also the best method in catching ladyfish, sheepshead and pin fish.

Cy, Boris and Alex all caught fish and just wanted to be out on the water. They did not want to target any particular species but reel in some fun with family. Captain Steve really enjoys adventuring out with them.

As the summer rolls on, the bite will continue to get better. You will be able to experience a variety of species as temperatures warm. Corporate Marathon Florida Fishing Trip

Corporate Marathon Florida Fishing Trip

Business is one of the many reasons people travel to Marathon Florida surrounding area. The city of Marathon is a hub for conventions and business travel. Marathon is not far from this hub in Daytona where you can take clients on a Corporate fishing trip of a lifetime.

We had the pleasure of fishing with an Asian Food Solutions company. They traveled from across the nation to meet at a convention here in Marathon Florida. While they were here, they wanted to get out on the water for a freshwater fishing trip charter.

Fishing is the perfect way to entertain clients and prospective business partners. Our trip consisted of 10 boats with 2 people on each boat. Everyone worked as a team to make for the best possible fishing experience.

Colder weather on this trip concentrated the bass into key locations. They had a great time catching these Florida Largemouth Bass. We saw some nice bags and great fish caught.

Captain John caught the biggest fish and string of 5 fish. The string weighed over 20 pounds and the biggest fish weighed 6.12 pounds. One of the second biggest on Captain John’s boat was over 4 pounds.

One of the greatest moments as a Captain is taking out people that generally would never fish. It was an awesome day on the water for all our Captains involved as everyone caught bass.

We are looking forward to fishing with this amazing group again. If you want to entertain business out on the water while catching Florida Largemouth Bass or many other species in Florida, contact us today for a trip of a lifetime.

Three Day Florida Fishing Mania

Three Day Florida Fishing Mania

When traveling to Florida you must experience the endless opportunities to get in the outdoors. You can spend a Three Day Florida Fishing Mania with family or friends. Marathon Florida offers some of the best fishing you can set your hook into. I never could have imagined the amount of memories that could be created with Captain Wayne.

Captain Wayne had the pleasure of fishing with Laura and her dad Jim. They were traveling from Chicago on vacation with no expectation to what was to come. Laura was surprising her dad on a Florida Fishing adventure of a lifetime over the course of three days.

Marathon Bass Fishing

The first day out was spent Lake Ashby Bass Fishing. Lake Ashby is looking beautiful this time of year. Fall is the perfect time to soak in the scenery and explore new parts of the lake. You could be highly surprised at what you can experience on a lake this size.

Laura and Jim enjoyed the partly cloudy weather conditions with temperatures in the mid 90s. While waiting on the bite, they sat back and relaxed with a nice breeze in the air.  Great weather promotes a great bite this time of year as they put over 20 largemouth bass in the boat. They caught some quality ones too with the biggest weighing 5 pounds 4 ounces.

They both shared the passion for fishing but never got a chance to key in on artificial baits. Wild caught shiners were the most effective technique to catch largemouth bass on Lake Ashby. It is also very exciting since you never know when you are going to land that fish you have been dreaming of.

Marathon Deep Sea Fishing

Captain Wayne adventured out to something different on their second day. Marathon Deep Sea Fishing for Mahi Mahi or Dolphin was something that was always fascinating to Laura and Jim. There is nothing like cruising off the shores of the beach and into an unpredictable day out in the ocean.

We had a window of great weather for most of the day with storms expected for the afternoon. The seas were at 2 to 4 foot most of the day which wasn’t a problem for catching fish.

Laura and Jim really wanted to catch this delicious fish that they haven’t gotten the chance to do before. We made it happen with a slow start catching non-keepers. Being patient is the game while you are Florida Fishing and we finally connected with the keeper we were waiting for.

It was not long after that one keeper that they got to experience something they would never forget. Two more hits and fish started a Mania that was highly unexpected. We came across a school of Mahi that rewarded us with 40 Mahi in the boat. It is always good to preserve the fishery so we only kept 14 of them and released the rest.

After an experience like that their arms were very tired and their faces were sore from the amount of laughs and smiles. They had dinner for multiple nights and they called it a day.

Marathon Inshore Fishing

On their final day with Captain Brad was something they wanted to check off their bucket list for a long time. Bull Redfish has always been the species that they have wanted to catch. Marathon is the perfect location to catch a variety of the species, especially your first Redfish or Black Drum.

It was looking like a great day again with beautiful weather for another amazing fishing trip. The mostly sunny conditions promoted excellent fishing. A mix of 25 Redfish and Black Drum were caught along with a few Snook. They were excited to catch the quality Redfish they did.

One of the many things people love about Redfish fishing is the fight they put up. You could never imagine the strength they have when they are on the end of your line. Laura and Jim thoroughly enjoyed catching their first Bull Redfish.

It was truly an honor and my pleasure to provide Jim a gift from Laura that they will never forget. I am looking forward to the next time they return to catch more of these incredible species here in Florida.

If you are looking for a memorable fishing adventure that will provide you stories for a lifetime, do not look further than the great state of Florida. We can provide all that you need to enjoy a great day out on the water with the ones that are important to you.

I know next time I am visiting Florida and Marathon, I will be chasing all the species I can from salt to freshwater!

First Snook Fishing Trip to Marathon

First Snook Fishing Trip to Marathon

Marathon is an amazing place to travel and visit while spending time in Florida. Beyond Extraordinary my First Snook Fishing Trip to Marathon was also one of the best activities you can embark on.

The Florida Fishing expert Captain Brad took us out Night Fishing  for Snook, it was our first Snook fishing trip.

Night Fishing for Snook under the city and port lights of Marathon could not be more of an amazing feeling. From catching the mullet or bait to reeling down into a fish of a lifetime, you are sure to have an excellent time catching these monster Snook this time of year.

Marathon Inshore Fishing could not get any better and the big fish have been moving in and chasing the mullet. We caught over 10 quality Snook with only 3 in slot range.

One of the last fish of the night was the biggest fish caught by Joe weighing over 20 pounds measuring in at 38 inches. These Snook are incredibly healthy and fight really hard. They will surprise you on how fast and hard they run.

Captain Brad also caught a tarpon that was a kicker fish for the boat. There is nothing like catching the number and quality of fish we caught in Marathon where we were at.

Captain Brad is the man when it comes to fishing for Snook in Marathon and you do not want to miss out on your adventure today while the fishing is still hot!

Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Charter

Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Charter

Florida Fishing has been incredible this summer. Year round you can travel to the state and catch the fish of a lifetime. Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Charter can be an awesome adventure for both or the family.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Tyler and his girlfriend that wanted to get out on the water for a great fishing experience. Mosquito Lagoon is the perfect location to do so with excellent redfish, tarpon and drum fishing.

It was an early morning start for the couple racing out at 6am. We got some action cruising to multiple different spots around the Lagoon. At first light, we chased tarpon and got a few hits but nothing held.

After chasing a school of black drum as well with no takers, we went to one of my favorite redfish spots. The whole trip was a blast to be able to fish the different locations. Tyler and his mate caught 5 quality redfish at this location.

They are looking forward to coming back and fishing with us again. The inshore experience was awesome for them and something they will continue to cherish and remember.

King Mackerel Fishing Charter

Florida has incredible fishing adventures that can be experience all year round. When traveling down or up the west coast of Florida, experience a King Mackerel Fishing Charter that will leave you wanting more.

Cape Canaveral, Florida is a beautiful place to visit. It has many different attractions from its gorgeous sandy beaches to the inshore and offshore fishing adventures.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Kelly and her party that wanted to experience what the waters of Cape Canaveral had to offer. One of the best parts about fishing here is the endless amounts of opportunity you have to catching the fish you have been after.

While we were slow trolling live bait, we were able to box a 30 pound King Mackerel. They enjoyed the rush and fight from this amazing fish. Aggressive Barracuda also came out to play and we caught a number of those. Not necessarily targeted but very exciting to catch for all ages.

Off the coast of Cape Canaveral, you can catch a multitude of species of fish. The possibilities are endless. Take a break from the beautiful beaches and enjoy the view from a beautiful boat that trolls the waters in search for all the major game fish.
